Official VAQ-140 Eagles Plane Captain Patch

Official VAQ-140 Eagles Plane Captain Patch — The Growler's Ground Guardian

Plane captains are the last line of defense before an EA-18G Growler launches — and the Eagles of VAQ-140 honor them with this patch.

This plane captain patch from Electronic Attack Squadron 140 (VAQ-140), the Eagles, recognizes the enlisted maintainers who serve as plane captains for the EA-18G Growler. Plane captains are responsible for the pre-flight and post-flight inspection of their assigned aircraft, ensuring every system is ready before the aircrew straps in. They direct the aircraft on the flight line, communicate with pilots via hand signals, and are the last person to check the jet before it taxis to the runway. VAQ-140 operates from NAS Whidbey Island and deploys as part of Carrier Air Wing 7.

Perfect For: VAQ-140 Eagles plane captains, EA-18G Growler maintainers, CVW-7 ground crew, NAS Whidbey Island personnel, and plane captain patch collectors.

Eagles plane captains — trusted guardians of the Growler.
